The Lake District 2012

In March Stephen, Rachel, Peter and Ryan visited and hiked in the Lake District.
It really was a beautiful spring day and I made the mistake of not taking sun cream or a hat, a fact that I would come to regret. We started off from the "old dungeon ghyll" and aimed to climb Bowfell.
But due to a map reading error on my part, which I blame on a crease in the map, we ended up traversing the "crinkle crags" and finally assending "Bowfell". The return to the bottom was for my legs and feet pure hell. But I am glad we did it. I was even more suprised that Ryan, 15, did it! Well done to us all.
